Day of Mindfulness

Day of Mindfulness Schedule–note earlier start time and later end time
9:00 am Arrival (meet outside by the waterfall near the new mediation hall).
9:15 am Walking meditation to the Avalokiteshvara statue, or inside the new meditation hall.
9:45 am Guided sitting meditation, “Letting Go, As Clouds Pass in the Clear Sky”,
and silent sitting meditation (inside the new meditation hall).
10:15 am Gentle yoga, mindful movements, followed by a short break.
10:45 am Dharma talk (in person and also on Zoom): “Honoring Our Mother Earth, and Strengthening Our Bodhisattva Way of Life”– illuminating the 8 Worldly Winds, the 6 Paramitas, the 4 Noble Truths,
courage, and true peace. Offered by Joseph Medicine Robe – Chân Tuệ Năng; including traditional Native flute prayer song offering and Lakota healing chant and gratitude to Mother Earth and to all beings. Mitakuye Oyasin – To All Our Relations.
12:00 pm Lunch: eating meditation together – sharing of nourishment and love from Mother Earth.
1:00 pm “Love Letter to the Earth”– readings from Ven. Thầy Thích Nhất Hạnh and writing your own love letter to the Earth.
1:30 pm Dharma sharing and community music circle: please bring your musical instruments and share your songs from the heart, chanting of Avalokiteshvara, to Mother Earth, to all of her beings, and to all our relations.
2:45 pm Clean up
3:00pm Departure
